<title>Annular lesions of the skin</title>
<link>https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12294/3996</link>
<description>Annular lesions of the skin
Karadag, Ayse Serap
A differential diagnosisis essential in diagnosing skin diseases and indicates a physician’s knowledge and levels of experience in specific areas. As a result of developing technologies, it has become easier to diagnose diseases more rapidly&#13;
in light of printed and/or online sources; however, clinical&#13;
knowledge remains the physician’s most powerful weapon.&#13;
It can help physicians rapidly achieve an accurate diagnosis&#13;
and avoid unnecessary studies for the patient and the health&#13;
care system.

<title>Smell and taste disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period</title>

<description>Smell and taste disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period
Sizer, Bilal; Gül, Aylin; Rudenko, Michael
The senses of smell and taste are two senses that complement each other. The flavor is a term that combines taste and smell. Retronasal olfaction occurs when the odor molecules that emerge during chewing, ingestion, and swallowing of food reach the olfactory epithelium. Therefore, some patients who experience smell problems may also complain about taste problems; however, this usually reflects the loss of smell perception rather than real taste disturbance. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2022.
